What we collect
- Account data. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. We receive your name, email address, and organization membership from Clerk to identify your workspace.
- Workspace data. Sender domains, DNS verification state, mailbox names and quotas, and API key metadata. API key secrets are stored only as SHA-256 hashes; mailbox passwords are forwarded to the mail server and are not retained by Fortsend.
- Send activity. For each send we log sender, recipient, subject, delivery status, and timestamps so you can audit usage. Message bodies are handed to the mail infrastructure for delivery and are not stored in Fortsend’s control plane.
- Operational logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records request logs and traces for reliability and abuse prevention.
How we use it
We use this data to operate the service: verifying your domains, provisioning mail infrastructure, delivering email you ask us to send, enforcing rate and usage limits, and preventing abuse. We do not sell personal data and we do not use the contents of your email for advertising or model training.
Where data lives
Fortsend runs on Cloudflare Workers; workspace state is stored in Cloudflare D1 or in Clerk metadata depending on deployment, and mail is processed by the configured mail host. Recent send activity is kept on a rolling basis (the most recent entries per workspace); deleting a domain, mailbox, or API key removes it from the workspace immediately.
Your choices
You can delete domains, mailboxes, and API keys from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account or request an export of your data, email privacy@fortsend.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Recipients’ data
You are the controller of the recipient lists and message content you send through Fortsend. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to email your recipients; we process that data only to deliver your messages.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the date above. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard.
